Camo Cupcakes



These Army Military Camo Cupcakes are perfect for themed parties or events. They feature a camo pattern with green, brown, and black colors, and they taste as great as they look!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • Green food coloring
  • Brown food coloring
  • Black food coloring
  • Cupcake liners

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners

In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt

Set aside

In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition

Stir in the vanilla extract

Alternate adding the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the wet mixture, starting and ending with the dry ingredients

Mix until just combined

Divide the batter into three equal portions

Add green food coloring to one portion, brown food coloring to another, and black food coloring to the third portion

Mix until you achieve desired camo colors

Scoop spoonfuls of the different colored batters into each cupcake liner, creating a camo pattern

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean

Allow the cupcakes to cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely

Once cooled, you can frost and decorate your camo cupcakes as desired

Coconut Flour Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup coconut flour
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, melted coconut oil, and honey or maple syrup

In a separate bowl, combine the coconut flour, baking powder, and salt

Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined and a batter forms

Grease a loaf pan with coconut oil and pour the batter into the pan

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean

Allow the bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely

Slice and enjoy!

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Form the mixture into burger patties

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy

In a small bowl, mix together mashed avocado, vegan mayo, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, and chopped dill to make the avocado ranch

Toast the burger buns if desired

Spread a generous amount of avocado ranch on the bottom half of each bun

Place a lentil walnut burger patty on top of the avocado ranch

Top with lettuce, tomato, onion, and the top half of the bun

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions:

Sliced sausage, onion, bell pepper, and pineapple chunks should all be put in a slow cooker

Put ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, sriracha sauce, and garlic powder in a small bowl and mix them together

Add the sauce to the slow cooker with the sausage and vegetables

Toss to cover everything

Turn the heat down to low, cover, and cook for 4 to 6 hours, or until the vegetables are soft and the sausage is hot

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • Corn or flour tortillas, for serving

Instructions:

On top of the vegetables, put slices of beef

When it's done, use two forks to shred the beef and mix it with the sauce and vegetables

You can serve the Korean beef in tortillas with extras like green onions, sesame seeds, shredded cabbage, and lime wedges if you want

Garlicky Greek Chicken



This garlicky grilled chicken recipe is a great way to enjoy the rich flavors of Greek food. When herbs, garlic, and a tangy yogurt sauce come together, they make a delicious dish that's great for any BBQ.

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

Instructions:

Olive oil, oregano, thyme, rosemary, paprika, salt, and black pepper should all be mixed together in a bowl

Pour the marinade over the chicken breasts that are in a plastic bag that can be closed again

Put the bag in the fridge for at least two hours, or overnight for the best results

Set the grill on medium-high heat

Take the chicken out of the marinade and let the extra run off

Throw away the marinade

Put the chicken on the grill and cook it for 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 74F 165C

For the sauce, mix lemon juice, Greek yogurt, and red wine vinegar in a small bowl while the food is cooking

The Greek yogurt sauce should be served on the side with the grilled chicken

Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wood chips for smoking

Instructions:

To make marinade, combine olive oil, lime juice, smoked paprika, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper in a bowl

Pour the marinade over the chicken thighs and place them in a plastic bag that can be sealed

Refrigerate for a minimum of two hours or overnight after sealing the bag

As directed by the manufacturer, prepare your smoker with wood chips and set the temperature to 225F 107C

After taking the chicken out of the marinade, allow it to sit at room temperature for half an hour

On the smoker rack, arrange the marinated chicken thighs

For a smoky flavor, add wood chips as needed

Smoke the chicken at 225F 107C for two to three hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165F 74C

When finished, take it out of the smoker and give it a few minutes to rest before serving
